Axial Load Carrying Capacity-cylindrical roller bearings
Due to the special structure of the spherical roller bearing, it can take pure radial load, even pure axial load.
The spherical roller bearing with an adapter sleeve will normally be fixed to a plain shaft without a shoulder. The value of the axial load will depend upon the friction between the shaft and the adapter sleeve. If the bearing is mounted in the right way, the permissible axial load can be calculated from:
